It’s finally here – the first Super Mario Bros Movie teaser trailer has debuted!

The clip for the upcoming animated movie based on the hit video game characters premiered at 2022 New York Comic Con on Thursday afternoon (October 6).

In the trailer, we get new looks at Bowser, the Penguins and the first look at Luigi! Noticeably missing was Princess Peach.

While we still don’t have an official synopsis, the movie comes from Nintendo and Illumination, the studio behind the Despicable Me/Minions franchise.

The upcoming film stars the voices of Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike.

The Super Mario Bros Movie will debut in theaters on April 7, 2023.
