Tommy Fury has revealed the sweet meaning behind his daughter's name Bambi.

Tommy and girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague, who met on Love Island in its fifth series, had their daughter six weeks ago after announcing their pregnancy last year.

Molly-Mae was forced to turn off the comments under her Instagram post after she told fans the name of her baby girl and was met with trolling messages from followers who were confused at the name Bambi.

However, Tommy told the Loose Women panel where the name had come from and the real reason they gave it to their daughter.

"We spoke about it in the Love Island villa and loads more once we got out, but Molly told me that ever since she was a kid she wanted to call her daughter Bambi," he revealed.

"So I'm not going to be that guy to take that away from her."

Elsewhere in the conversation, Tommy admitted that his victorious fight against YouTube Jake Paul was "the easy part" as he confessed he and Molly-Mae had been heckled in the street during the buildup.

Tommy was also subject to provocation from Jake Paul online, who also leaked the news of his child being born before he or Molly-Mae could let their fans know.

Tommy added that even "fellow brits and boxing champions" didn't have his back.

"They were saying I'd lose and get knocked out, I had the weight of the world on my shoulders before the fight," he told the panel made up of Nadia Sawalha, Charlene White, Jane Moore and Judi Love.

Since becoming a father, Tommy said that it's the feeling is "Better than boxing" and that it's impossible to be in a bad mood when seeing his daughter's face.

"There was a lot going on in the build-up to the fight and I was switching from being the aggressive fighter to trying be the daddy too, but having Bambi is the best thing that's ever happened to me,"

"Waking up everyday and seeing her little face, you can't be in a bad mood," he said.
