Sylvester Stallone, 76, took to Instagram today to share a cryptic post featuring his wife, in view of his 15.2 million followers.The star shared a snap of the pair holding hands, followed by a picture of them posing with their children.

The Hollywood actor simply captioned the photographs “wonderful”, leaving it ambiguous as to whether anything might have changed between the pair.

It comes just weeks after it was reported that Sylvester’s wife Jennifer Flavin, 54, had filed for divorce after being married to the star for 25 years.

Aside from handing the Rocky actor the divorce papers, she also reportedly accused the actor of moving assets from their shared marital funds.

The divorce papers, obtained by TMZ, read: “Upon information and belief, the Husband has engaged in the intentional dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets which has had an adverse economic impact on the marital estate.

“Pursuant to Section 61.075, Florida Statues, equity dictates that the Wife be compensated and made whole by receiving an unequal distribution of the marital assets in her favour.

“Moreover, the Husband should be enjoined from, selling, transferring, assigning, encumbering, or dissipating any assets during the pendency of proceedings.”

In the court papers Jennifer filed in August, she also stated: “The marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.”

Sylvester also responded as he released a statement through his publicist last month, which read: “I love my family. We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues.”

Express.co.uk contacted both parties at the time for comment, and have contacted Sylvester’s representatives today about the photo he has now posted of the couple.

The actor’s fans took to the comments section to share their own thoughts about the sweet family snaps.

American football quarterback Troy Aikman commented with a heart emoji, while plenty of others followed suit.

“Good family man,” wrote Arris Campbell, while Omar Abudayya added: “You have a wonderful family. Take care of them.”

Meanwhile, DiCicco Cosentino penned: “Hang in there, Sly!” and Nero Black wrote: “I hope you can change her decision and you can start again!”

Michael Carachisarlidis added: “I’m wishing you the very best, Sly. I pray for you and your family during this time.”

Just before news broke of divorce proceedings last month, the actor was spotted getting his tattoo of his wife’s face covered with a new inking of his late bull mastiff and Rocky co-star, Butkus.

This helped fuel rumours that the couple had split before the star had addressed the situation publicly.

However, his representative went on to tell the Daily Mail at the time: “Mr. Stallone intended to refresh the tattoo image of his wife Jennifer; however, the results were unsatisfactory and, unfortunately, unfixable.

“As a result, he had to cover the original image with a tattoo of his dog from Rocky, Butkus.

“Mr Stallone loves his family. The Stallones are presently filming a reality show together which will debut on Paramount+.”

Sylvester and Jennifer have been married since 1997 and share daughters Sophia, 26, Sistine, 24, and Scarlet, 20.
