Meghan Markle and Prince Harry celebrated their four year wedding anniversary in May of this year and, if recent photos of them holding hands are anything to go by, they are just as in love now as they were on the day they said ‘I do’.

Their romance is truly one for the fairytale books, and the pair met back in 2016 when a mutual friend set them up on a blind date. Cilla Black would be proud.

Now, six years on from when they met, it’s been revealed that Meghan prepared for their date in a very clever way. “Do you know what you’re doing? Do you know anything about him?” Meghan’s friend asked her before the big date, according to Tom Bower who wrote about the meeting in his newly released book, Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors.

“I’ve googled Harry. I’ve gone deeply into his life,” Meghan apparently replied. Thankfully, her trick worked, and she and Harry hit it off immediately, with a source describing the couple as being “in their own little world” from the get go.

And Meghan’s status in the Royal Family truly appears to have been written in the stars, as she predicted her very regal future on more than one occasion. “Little girls dream of being princesses. And grown women seem to retain this childhood fantasy,” she wrote in a 2011 blog post around the time of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding. “Just look at the pomp and circumstance surrounding the Royal Wedding and endless conversations about Princess Kate.”

That’s not all! Just one year later, in 2012, Meghan starred in an episode of the US TV series, Castle. At one point in the episode, Meghan’s character is seen in a Sleeping Beauty costume – which, we’re sure you’ll agree, basically foreshadowed her future as Prince Harry’s wife.

“Rewatching @Castle_ABC and Meghan Markle is on the episode and it’s funny how she played a fairytale character and then lived one,” said one viewer on Twitter, with another commenting: “Hubs and I watched a season 4 episode of Castle and one of the young actresses looked really familiar. IMDb to the rescue! It was Meghan Markle! Not only that, it was ironically a fairytale themed episode, and in her first scene she was dressed as a princess.”

Some fairytales really are meant to be, eh!?
