Jenna Bush Hager is feeling and looking refreshed after spending some much-needed quality time with her loved ones.

On July 11, the Read With Jenna book club founder reunited with cohost/close friend Hoda Kotb on Today’s fourth hour. Without missing a beat, the two immediately started catching up on their vacations and Jenna came prepared with tons of heartwarming photos from her family trip. While she didn’t share where she spent her time off, The Superpower Sisterhood author appeared to have gone away near the water with her husband, Henry Hager, and their kids: Mila, Poppy and Hal.

“We had a wonderful vacation. In some ways, we did go with the rhythm of life. I put my phone away,” she said on the NBC show. “We had a lot of fun.”

Folks who tuned in to Today With Hoda and Jenna got to see three sweet pics of Jenna’s summer vacation. Luckily, she also shared them over on her Instagram Stories, plus a few others. One outfit in particular stood out from the rest, thanks to Jenna’s major pop of color.

In the photo, she and her husband are surrounded by their children while posing outdoors. Though her family was dressed in more neutral colors like blue, white and green, Jenna opted for a cherry-red floor-length dress. She kept the rest of her look minimal with simple jewelry and an updo for her hair.

Of course, this wouldn’t be the first time that Jenna’s wardrobe turned heads. There have been several times that her bold looks have gotten strong reactions from Today fans. But according to Jenna, dressing up isn’t always her first option. “I’m happiest in jeans and a tee. It’s the Austin, Texas, in me,” she told Southern Living in 2016.

Over the years, she’s had her fraternal twin sister, Barbara Pierce Bush, help her embrace “a more feminine side” and “appreciate the girly” when dressing for the morning show. “Barbara has great fashion sense,” Jenna told the outlet. “I was the one stealing clothes from my sister’s closet.”

A handful of years later, this remains true — albeit with her fellow Today show cohost Savannah Guthrie, who lent her a show-stopping yellow number a few months ago. (Read what the buzz was all about here.)
