TOWIE’s Jess Wright ‘lost confidence’ when body changed after giving birth

She became a mum to her first child, son Presley, in May last year and Jess Wright admits she "lost confidence" when her body changed.

The former TOWIE star revealed: “I’ve not felt the most body confident. Your body changes after having a baby and your confidence definitely goes.”

But the star added that she’s learnt fast that when you become a parent, your priorities in life change, adding: "When you’re a mum, you care less – you’ve got more important things to worry about.”

Jess, 37, has recently returned from a luxury holiday in Barbados with her husband, businessman William Lee-Kemp and Presley after spending Presley’s first Christmas at home in Essex.

She described the new year getaway as something she’s "dreamt of for many years."

The star shared with her Instagram followers some lovely family snaps, including images of her in a striking lime green swimsuit.

Talking about how she felt wearing the one-piece, Jess said, “As much as I felt a little bit bigger in certain outfits, I kind of didn’t care and was just grateful to be away.”

Jess’ journey into motherhood wasn’t plain sailing. Presley was delivered by emergency Caesarean section five days before Jess’ due date after he became less active.

She said, “In those last few weeks he had been so active and then, all of sudden, it completely dropped, which was very scary, so our doctor told us to come straight to hospital."

After medics tried to induce the birth for 48 hours, Jess explained how they found his heart rate to be dropping.

She said they thought it might have been caused by him being in an awkward position so took the decision to get him out quickly via C-section.

The month following Presley’s arrival was also tough for Jess. Presley spent five days in neonatal intensive care unit as his oxygen levels had dropped.

Jess confessed in October that after the birth, she went through “a whole new level of lowness." But she said she felt it was important to share her experience with others due to her public platform.

“We can express it to so many people and they can feel that they’re not alone,” Jess explained.

However, Jess was keen to clarify how much joy her son has brought her too, describing the experience of becoming a mum as “amazing,” and calling it a “crazy,” journey.

She also hinted to fans that she wasn’t ruling out becoming a mum of two in a couple of years.
