Alison gives Vanessa Celebs Go Dating advice
Vanessa Feltz has said there’s been a “tapestry of lies” surrounding her split with fiance Ben Ofoedu and that she can’t bear to hear his name.
This Morning’s agony aunt spoke candidly about ending their relationship and her decision to take part in E4’s Celebs Go Dating just months after her breakup with the singer.
“There was such a complicated and convoluted tapestry of lies,” Vanessa said in a new interview. “I have no idea what really happened. That’s the truth. So it’s over. I can’t bear to hear you utter his name.”
“I felt like a depleted balloon, like my confidence had been crushed out of me, while I was simultaneously on TV every day” she added.
Vanessa has her own news and current affairs show every weekday on TalkTV and is the agony aunt on This Morning.

“Going in to do a live show with cameras in your face the day after a nearly-17-year relationship ends is quite demanding,” the presenter added to The Daily Mail.
The mum-of-two shared that speaking publicly about the end of her relationship and is grateful of the support she has received, adding she couldn’t “fall apart” despite feeling dazed and confused about the split.
Vanessa, 61, and Ben, 50, had been engaged since 2006, but the presenter announced their split after he admitted to cheating on her with “multiple women”.
Earlier this year he spoke publicly about sleeping with an older woman three times after meeting her in Ibiza.

He has also admitted he had a sexting relationship with a fan of Phats & Small, and that he flirted with another woman.
The singer has recently come out and said some people have been “incredibly cruel without knowing the facts”.
Speaking to the Standard at KISSTORY, Ben said he has “maintained a dignified silence” but claimed Vanessa has “peddled this too much” adding the “truth will come out”.
The This Morning star has since signed up to appear on TV show Celebs Go Dating for which she got sent on a speed dating night.
The TV personality has been dating members of the public who have written into the E4 show.
She added to the same publication that she wants to fall in love again and be swept off her feet.
