Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, both 47, were keen to get more of a glimpse of the late Queen Elizabeth II’s granddaughter Zara Tindall, 41, when she reunited with her husband Mike Tindall, 44. Mike became the latest celebrity to be voted out of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! last night, after making it to the final four, and his wife was waiting to greet him on the bridge in the Australian jungle.

Zara ran to meet Mike to give him a big cuddle in front of the cameras, as he could be heard whispering: “I missed you so much!”

However, despite the adorable display, Ant was left questioning why Zara, who is 20th in the line of succession to the British throne, chose to hug her other half “from behind”.

Chatting about the eventful semi-final of I’m A Celeb 2022 on their Saturday Jungle Club Instagram Live show, the presenters shared their thoughts on Mike’s elimination.

Ant told the duo’s 4.8 million Instagram followers: “How nice to see Zara on the bridge, for Mike!”

Dec agreed: “Yeah, wasn’t that nice? Very nice.”

Ant then grimaced slightly, as he asked why Zara didn’t turn around to face the ITV cameras on the bridge.

He admitted: “Should have turned around though really.

“She should have turned around and had a little cuddle with him, I reckon, a little smile so we could all see her, but we didn’t get to see her.”

“It was behind, a cuddle from behind, good hug though, good Mike hug!” Ant concluded of the rugby legend’s embrace.

Dec added: “Good cuddle from behind, that’s what we like.”

It comes after Ant and Dec announced Zara would be on the bridge after their exit interview with Mike.

The presenters said: “Zara is waiting for you so all that is left for us to say is Mike Tindall you are a celebrity, get yourself out of here!”

Zara was smiling while reuniting with her other half, as she dressed for the warm weather in a black denim playsuit.

The British equestrian wore natural makeup and tied her blonde hair back in an updo.

The royal couple held hands as they made their way back up the bridge to return to  the lap of luxury at the plush JW Marriott hotel where the I’m A Celeb stars are currently staying after being evicted from camp.

When they arrived at the hotel, Zara had added a pair of oversized sunglasses to her outfit, which was paired with Veja trainers.

She also accessorised with a small white Aspinal of London bag, while holding onto her husband’s jungle backpack.

The daughter of Princess Anne beamed from ear to ear as the couple were greeted by Mike’s jungle co-stars.

Zara shared a hug with Jill Scott’s fiancée Shelly Unit as the group chatted outside.

Mike became the eighth star to be eliminated, as his campmates Jill, Matt Hancock, and Owen Warner sailed through to the final.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’s grand finale airs tonight at 9pm on ITV1.
