WHEN it comes to using an Air Fryer, there are various things to keep in mind to make it as safe as possible.
And, according to the pros over at AO, one important factor to remember is where you position your device.
The experts took to TikTok to share a video explaining "mistakes to avoid when using your Air Fryer".
They kicked off their list by warning people not to load up the machine with too much food.
Before insisting it's important to "check food as it cooks" in the Air Fryer.
But it was their third point that was perhaps the most important – and that was "not being safe".

"Don’t leave it plugged in, keep it on a safe surface and don’t use it on top of your hob!" they added.
"Don’t make these mistakes when you’re using your air fryer," the video was captioned.
People were quick to take to the comments section to weigh in on the warnings, with one writing: "I made the mistake of leaving mine on the hob ….it melted."
"What airfryer? They are never in stock," another sighed.

While someone else insisted that the points made in the video were "basic common sense".
"The best air fryer tip is getting a Silicone air fryer liner," another person wrote.
