GETTING a tattoo is a big decision for any person to make – one that the majority of people will spend long and hard thinking about.
In fact, it turns out that one woman waited until she was 81-years-old to make the decision to get inked.
And now, the elderly woman has instantly lit up the internet as she showed off her first inking.
TikTok user Cliona Murphy shared a video of her grandmother proudly showing off her first tattoo of a butterfly after getting inked for the first time in her 80s and everyone has reacted in the same way.
Tattoo fans are often told their ink will be something they'll regret when they get old – but one gran has defied the haters and waited until she turned 81-years-old to get hers done.
TikTok user Cliona Murphy, who posts under the username @clionamurphy78, took to the video sharing platform with a video of her gran proudly showing off her new ink.
The video was captioned: "First tattoo at the age of 81."

In the video which quickly went viral, the woman's grandchildren were seen lip syncing to a viral sound that said: "You don't like girls that are tatted…"
The shot then switched to the grinning pensioner, who proudly displayed a freshly inked butterfly tattoo on her wrist as she mouthed: "Take me off the roster."
This gran’s tattoo is adorable and she clearly looks thrilled with her first and only inking.
The video has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly racked up a whopping 2.7million views.

TikTok users were left smiling at the adorable clip as they declared the gran as an "icon" and said that she was "so cute."
