She took to TikTok to share an anonymous Reddit thread detailing the experience of a disappointed woman at her friend's wedding.
The Reddit poster described herself as a 30-year-old woman dating a 33-year-old man for a little over a year.
She received an invite to a wedding and told her best friend that she would be inviting her boyfriend as a plus one.
The woman described the affair as being inappropriate for children due to the themes presented in the ceremony.
"We discussed the theme of the wedding (cannabis wedding), transportation (open bar) and a few other details," she said.
"I also discussed these plans with my bff (f31) incase there was an emergency," she added.
Despite maintaining that she shared thorough details of the wedding with her boyfriend, he showed up to the big day with unexpected company.

"After spending months discussing plans, bf shows up to pick me up for the wedding," she wrote. "With his four children in the backseats."
The anonymous woman asked her boyfriend if he simply forgot that they were heading to a wedding.
He responded by saying that he did not forget and that he thought the wedding would be a good family outing.
"I inform him that my invite is for me and my +1, and not a +5," she wrote. "And besides, nothing about this event is appropriate for children."
The Redditor revealed that the argument ended in her attending the wedding with her best friend, which upset her boyfriend when he found out via Snapchat.
After the pair quarrelled, they made up after the mother of his children got involved.
"Apparently he spoke to his children's mother and she ripped him a new one," she wrote.
"She also thanked me for having common sense and not taking her children to a 'f**king weed wedding,'" she added.
