I DIYed beautiful light-up Halloween decor for my porch using $2 Walmart buys – hurry, they're running out of stock | The Sun

A DIY fan has turned a $2 Walmart buy into a beautiful light-up Halloween décor.

Her porch has been transformed by her novel idea.

But you had better hurry over to your closest Walmart if you want to avoid disappointment.

They are fast running out of stock when it comes to pumpkin pails.

They are the essential and all-important element in this decorating idea from Kelsi Savage (@kelsimsavage).

She has 72,000 followers on her TikTok, which regularly features her design inspirations.

But Kelsi was fortunate to be able to lay her hands on the elusive Walmart pumpkin pail.

It had been a long – and continuing search for one commenter, however.

“Pumpkin pails are so hard to find. I’ve been trying to get my hands on some for my nephew for two years."

But Kelsi struck lucky: “Finally found these $2 pumpkin pails at Walmart," she said.

The transformation was relatively easy. She first carefully cut out the eyes and mouth, then painted them black.

Then she stuffed lights inside each pail, and then she stacked them one on top of the other using a glue gun to hold them in place.

In the top pumpkin she added some flowers increasing the dramatic effect.

“I love how it turned out on our front porch,” she said. “DIY pumpkin pail glow-up."

It created a great atmosphere for the day in question: “Perfect Halloween porch décor to welcome trick-or-treaters.”
