A MUM left with a ‘uniboob’ after plastic surgery has told how women still contact her sharing their own stories.
Alicia Jenkins, who appeared on the first ever episode of hit US TV show Botched, is proud to have raised awareness of Symmastia.
The issue occurs when breasts grow together, with little or no cleavage between them, leaving a web of skin, fat, and tissue across the area.
Alicia planned to have a boob job when her right breast went from a D cup to a B after breastfeeding her son.
She couldn’t wear a bra and would have to stuff one side if she did to make it even.
Just 48 hours after surgery, she noticed a double bubble on her left breast and that her implant was hanging out the bottom.
She’d also been given larger implants than she’d asked for.
Alicia was then put in a compression band to push the implants down but quickly noticed her breasts were getting closer to each other.
She said: “I was told they would all resolve with time. So I kept plugging along, waiting, hoping. But they never got better."
She added: “I think the main thing people want to know is if I regret the surgery. And to be honest, I don't. I feel like if I was to allow myself to regret it, I wouldn't learn anything from the situation.

“Bottom line, it happened as a result of a decision I made. To try to improve my appearance, back to the way it was before I had my son.
“It went horribly wrong, and changed my life forever. And I'm still figuring out how forever in this body will work.
“One day I'll accept this version of myself, but I'm still not there yet.”
After going under the knife for the first time, the mum was left with a massive amount of health issues and this led to her appearing on TV.
Since then she’s had three operations with telly surgeon Dr Dubrow and has started her own bikini and textiles businesses.
Alicia, whose immune system has been ruined by her initial botched surgery, says: “It honestly is very common.
“I had no idea as I didn't know what it was until it happened to me.
“But I got so many emails and messages from women with the same issues.
“It definitely made me feel like telling my story was so much more important that I had imagined.”
