PICKING the right baby name can take some people years to get right.

But one mum who thought she'd found the perfect name for her daughter has decided to change it now she's four-months-old.

The mum revealed that ever since she came back to work a month ago that she has wanted to change her daughter's name to something less unique.

Taking to Reddit, the mum revealed that nobody can pronounce her daughter's name, Aerin, properly.

She said: "I need to constantly spell it out or clarify the name or even if I don’t people ask for the pronunciation."

The anonymous mum said she always wanted to give her daughter a unique name and was drawn to it because it started with an A.

But now the mum is having second thoughts as she doesn't like the way it sounds and that people think it’s Erin.

She added: "Also don’t like that it’s considered a unisex name and confused with Aaron."

Now she and her partner are thinking of renaming her daughter at four-months-old to Clara.

Her stance on unique names has shifted as she wants: "a recognisable but not so common name."
