A WOMAN has revealed that she gave her stairs a quick and easy upgrade thanks to a lick of paint, but not everyone is impressed.
DIY whizz Steffani lives in a 1930’s home in the UK and is on a mission to give it a mega makeover on the cheap.
Steffani took to social media to show off her recent stair transformation, but it’s left people divided.
In one clip, which Steffani shared with the caption ‘You guys really went in on your thoughts about these stairs, never in a million years did I think this would be a controversial topic but thanks for all your encouragement’, we saw the DIY fan painting her stairs.
The DIY enthusiast explained: “When you posted a silly little video of yourself painting your stairs the same colour as the wall and now you’ve had death threats, hate mail and 15 million people telling you your house looks like s**t.”
Alongside the video, Steffani attached Eliza Doolittle’s song Pack Up, as the lyrics sang: “I don’t care what the people may say, what the people may say about me.”

In another clip, we saw Steffani proudly show off her finished staircase, as she responded to a comment that read: “I feel like this is going to end up with cheap apartment, landlord special vibes.”
To the troll, Steffani clapped back and replied: “Each to their own. I like it.”
Alongside the clip, Steffani sang along to Taylor Swift’s song You Need To Calm Down, as the lyrics sang: “Stick and stones never broke my bones. You need to calm down. You’re being too loud.”
Steffani’s TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @steffs_house, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 127,300 views.

But social media users were divided by Steffani’s stairs – while some loved it, not everyone was as keen.
One person said: “I’m in love with that staircase!”
Another added: “It looks gorgeous!”
A third commented: “Ignore them! Love the colour!”
Whilst someone else noted: “First of all the house isn’t for them. Second of all it looks cool!”
However, at the same time, trolls were out in full force and were quick to share their opinion on Steffani’s stairs.
One user posted: “4/10 reminds me of my primary school.”
A second claimed: “This is my hell.”
Another chimed in: “Oh no, terrible idea.”
