A DIY fan has shared the B&M and B&Q bargains she bought to give her bland council kitchens chic glow up

GG, who goes by @grexnyyonline online shared her transformation in a TikTok video.


She said: “Transformed my council kitchen on a budget.”

GG said: “Out with the old … and in with the new.”

In her video, GG shares a before and after shot of her kitchen, revealing how she gave the room a chic modern look by covering up her ‘hated’ magnolia tiles and her brown cupboards. 

GG explained the most important change for her in the transformation was covering up her kitchen tiles.

For her kitchen counter tops GG bought D-C-Fix Romeo Gloss Grey Marble effect Self-adhesive film from B&Q.

For her cupboards GG bought D-C-Fix self adhesive film in Romeo white for £10 per 90cm x 21.

GG said in total the mini kitchen renovation cost her £130. 

The DIY fan said all the adhesives were super easy to stick on. 

GG’s video gained over 778,000 views with viewers desperate to hear more about her kitchen transformation.
