I live on a cruise ship – you have to be switched on about certain chores otherwise your stuff goes to the incinerator | The Sun

A WOMAN who lives and works on a cruise ship has revealed her most hated day of the week – laundry day.

Krista is a dancer on board, and has been sharing the highs and lows of her life on her TikTok page.

In a recent clip, she explained that you have to be switched on when it comes to things like washing your clothes, otherwise there's a risk of everything heading to the incinerator.

"The first step before carrying all of my stuff there is to see if there's even a machine available because usually there isn't," she said.

"By some miracle a machine was open, so I ran back to my cabin, grabbed my laundry and prayed that it was still open when I got back.

"The machines are free to use but you do have to provide your own detergent."

Krista added that she has to set a timer for when the wash finishes, because otherwise "people will take your stuff out and move it the literal second it finishes".

And the biggest thing you must remember is to collect the laundry before 24 hours is up.

"You also have to make sure you don't forget about it because if you leave it in there for more than 24 hours they will take it to the incinerator and potentially burn all of your clothing," she continued.

People were quick to comment on the video, with one writing: "The incinerator seems a little dramatic!"
