She said: “I would use a bag and put in some spinach, tomatoes, cucumber, onions, and drizzle it with balsamic glaze.

“If you want to up the protein content, then you can add some cottage cheese, chicken breast or tofu or some mixed beans.”

Staying with the same category, she also said she put lots of beans into her diet – from chickpeas to simple baked beans.

Speaking about chickpeas, lentils and red kidney beans, she added: “Add these into your curries, bolognese – high in fibre, high in protein and the best bit about them is that they’re low in saturated fat.”

Her other hidden weight loss wonder products included mushrooms, unbreaded fish, reduced fat grated cheese, walnuts and seeds.

Elsewhere in the shop, she pointed out Quorn mince, which is “low in saturated fat but high in protein.”

The lady also said Aldi had her sweet tooth covered thanks to their own brand 80% dark chocolate that “didn’t stop her on her weight loss journey” as you can’t “overeat.”
