IT'S freezing outside, and showing no signs of warming up anytime soon.
And one man has showed the shocking way he can always tell when it's cold – by looking in his friend's bathroom.
Sharing a video on TikTok, he showed the water in the toilet bowl, which was frozen solid.
"You know it's cold when the toilet water is frozen," he wrote over the clip.
He added in the caption: "Yes, it's an indoors toilet. Old house, not mine."
People were quick to comment on the situation, with one writing: "I’d advise you to put your heating on and hope you haven’t damaged any pipework!"

"If it was my house then I'd certainly have the heating on," the man replied.
"my toilet cistern had froze too," another added.
"wow," a third commented. "I have never experienced that."
"You don't want too. It was so cold in that house," he responded.

"That’s gunna be one cold splash-back," someone else joked.
"this is sad tbh, I saw that someone's washing machine was frozen too I've never seen this kind if thing happen before," another comment read.
With the man writing: "My grandparents used to tell me about 'back in the day' when things indoors would freeze.
"Never thought we'd see it now."
