I paid over £11.7k for a mummy makeover – the recovery was fine until I had a terrible allergic reaction | The Sun

A WOMAN has revealed that she spent over £11,000 on a mummy makeover to completely transform her mum bod.

Chelsea Bergstrom, a blonde-haired mum, took to TikTok to open up about her cosmetic surgery journey.

She confirmed that she had a tummy tuck, ab repair, liposuction and silicone breast implants as part of her makeover.

While Chelsea is currently only three weeks post-surgery, she explained that she is impressed with her results.

However, a spanner was thrown into the works when Chelsea had a severe allergic reaction to a medication she was put on, causing her body to come up in hives.

In one clip, Chelsea showed off her stomach before she went under the knife.

She squeezed the loose skin on her belly and turned to the side to give social media users a good view of her body.

Then, moments later, we saw Chelsea film herself in a bra and a small pair of shorts, as she showed off her stomach after the plastic surgery.

At two weeks post-operation, Chelsea’s loose skin had been removed, leaving her with a flat stomach and a small scar.

She confirmed: “We paid a little less than $14,000 [£11,733] for tummy tuck, ab repair, lipo, silicone implants and surgery insurance.”

Social media users were left open-mouthed at Chelsea’s results and were quick to express this in the comments.

One person said: “Looking great momma!”

Another added: “You look great!!”

A third commented: “Ughhh you look incredible! I want this sooo bad!”

Whilst someone else posted: “That’s probably one of the best TT I have seen! You look great.”

When asked for her advice, Chelsea responded: “Wear your compression, and do everything your doctor says. It’s been 1000000 worth it.

“Make sure you're not allergic to any meds they are giving you!

“REST. You will want to get up and help but literally rest for at least 2 weeks!”

She later confirmed: “Worth it all so far! I’m very very happy.”

In another clip, Chelsea got candid on the surgery recovery.

She shared her video with the caption ‘Recovery has been fine, except the last 3 days’ and explained: “Ok, quick little update.

“It's not a very fun or good update, but what I think was the cause of all of my issues this last week, which I didn't really talk about, I had a fever and I broke out my whole body in hives and really bad nausea.

“The itching was the worst part. It turns out I was having a delayed reaction to Bactrim, which was the antibiotic that they had put me on.

“Didn't really understand how bad of a reaction I would have.

“My husband is stripping my drains right now, but you can kind of see the leftover from that reaction. It was all over my body.

“So I've had to start using Triamcinolone cream. And I wrap myself up like a burrito.

“But I'm not gonna lie, I'm feeling so much better now that I'm not as nauseous and that that rash has gone away.

“I have had no pain. I am off of my narcotic, and I'm just on Tylenol and we're gonna call tomorrow and ask if we can take out my drains, because I have hardly any drainage left.

“So that's my update.”

In a follow-up clip, Chelsea explained that she had been back to work and was still feeling slightly sore.

She explained: “I am back at work this week. I am 3 weeks post op. I'm feeling really good.

“I feel like I'm still not standing completely straight.

“I still have my compression. I'm feeling a lot of pain, I'm feeling really sore in my upper abdomen.

“He's gonna remove my belly button sutures on Monday and check all my incisions, make sure everything's healing okay.

“My holes from where my drains were are scabbed over and healing good.
