I spent £14k on a mystery storage container & hit the jackpot – it had a luxe car & an antique box full of treasure | The Sun

A BARGAIN hunter who spent a whopping £14k on a mystery storage unit was left stunned by the goodies he found inside.

Eddie Hall purchased the storage unit at an action but had no idea what would be in store for him.

Eddie who was crowned The World's Strongest Man in 2017 shared his finds on YouTube, and people were just as stunned as him with the goodies he found inside.

He and a friend paid for the container and quickly headed off to open it up by breaking the locks off.

The first items he found were two sofas and an arm chair, which Eddie wasn't displeased with.

They then found a TV he thought would be worth at least £50.

But as they carried on digging through the unit, more and more treasures turned up.

The pair found a Snap-on tool box filled with tools worth £2,000 as well as a model train collection worth another £1,000.

He found two safes and used his trusty tank to run them over and break them open.

Inside they were full of sawdust, but that wasn't all.

After scrambling for an hour, Eddie found 12 gold coins, a diamond ring and some more coins from the 1970s, including a £5 coin.

“The weight of them mate,” said Eddie who revealed if the 12 coins were real sovereign gold as he suspected, they’d be worth around £4,000.

Eddie estimated that the shiny diamond ring was worth around £1,500 too.

The last thing in the container was a covered up car, and Eddie and his pal were excited to see exactly what was underneath.

Eddie was thrilled to see that the car underneath was a luxury silver Bentley Arnage from 2007 worth around £40,000

"There's not a scratch on it," exclaimed Eddie as he couldn't believe his luck.

Not a bad find considering he paid £14,000 for the entire unit.

In total, the box was worth £48.5k, Eddie added: “It’s paid off, £34.5k profit."

He decided to donate the sofas, chairs and other finds in the storage box to charity.

The video posted to his account, Eddie Hall The Beast, has since gone viral with over four million views and 87k likes.

People were quick to congratulate him on his finds.

One person wrote: "Awesome video!! Love seeing what people hold onto in those storage units."

Another commented: "This was great to watch, certainly several items worth a lot of money!"
