A WOMAN has taken to social media to show off her new smile after she went abroad for a set of new teeth.
Janine Santos, who posts on TikTok under the username @iam_janine_santos, explained that she flew to Turkey and splashed £4,000 on a set of crowns.
Janine, one of many who have jetted off to Turkey to get their teeth done, took to social media to show off her new pearly whites as part of a trend that has been dubbed "Turkey teeth".
The TikTok hashtag "#TurkeyTeeth" has reached more than 130 million views.
Several reality TV influencers and celebrities have also had their teeth done, including former Love Island star Jack Fincham and Katie Price.
The procedure of having crowns done can be aggressive and invasive to teeth.

They require almost 70% of your teeth to be filed down.
In the woman’s video, she shared an insight into her dental journey, as she posted her video with the caption ‘Come on my journey for new Turkey teeth.’
She said: “Come with me to get new Turkey teeth” and in the clip, we saw Janine get in a taxi as she headed off to the dentist for her new smile.
Janine explained that she chose to get crowns as she wanted her teeth to look white.

She then noted: “Show me your teeth” as she smiled for the camera, showing off her new set of pearly whites.
Janine’s video has clearly shocked many, as it has quickly racked up a whopping 155.6k views.
It has 1,262 likes, 169 comments and 171 shares.
While many thought Janine’s teeth looked great, others weren’t so sure about her new look and thought her teeth looked better before.
One person said: “I prefer the before natural look 😁”
A second chimed in: “Am I being stupid here…didn't notice anything wrong with your teeth in the first place” to which Janine replied “My front 2 teeth stuck out a bit. I didn't like them. plus I wanted them all white.”
Another added: “Massive risk. Too early to say it has paid off.”
A fourth commented: “No thanks….why would any one.”
