I swear by 3 products to get my son's grubby socks looking perfect again – and it works on ALL white clothes | The Sun

A MUM has been praised after sharing the three products she swears by to get her son's white socks bright again.

Christina admitted she hates when her son comes home with grubby socks, but loves the process of making them gleam again.

"Whites that don't look white. I mean, seriously," she began her TikTok video.

"Does anyone else just get that 'Oh my God' feeling. I can't bear it.

"I do not know what my son does for his socks to end up looking like this, but here we are.

"This is what I use to help bring them back to life again."

Christina then showed the a bottle of Ace Ultra for Whites bleach, a spray bottle of Ace for Whites stain remover, and a tub of Vanish Oxi-Action powder for whites.

"These three products, in my opinion, are the best combination for whites," she said.

To begin with, she sprays the socks liberally with the Ace stain remover spray.

She then "eyeballs" how much of the Ace bleach to put into a bowl full of water, before adding two scoops of the Vanish powder.

"Then I just pop the socks straight into the bowl and give it all a little bit of a mix," she said.

She leaves them to soak for 24 hours for "best results", and then showed what they look like after that time.

"They're already so much whiter and brighter and they haven't even been through the machine yet!" she said.

Christina then drains all the water from the socks, gives them a rinse and pops them in the washing machine.

"And this is the end result, white socks that actually look white again," she said.

"I don't know why this makes me so happy, but it does. If you know, you know!"

People were quick to comment on the video, with one writing: "White Nike socks are the bane of my life!!!"

"Mine too! The struggle is real!" Christina replied.

"I’m going to try this on my white towels," another added.

"Amazing, just what I needed to know. Thanks," a third praised.

"Would this work for kids polo shirts?" someone else asked.
