I swear by my 3-ingredient DIY mask for long, thick locks – but people warn against accidental 'scrambled egg hair' | The Sun

A BEAUTY guru said there’s a secret behind her long, luscious locks.

After she shared her homemade mask built from regular kitchen ingredients, one user said to be careful or you might end up with breakfast in your hair.

A 22-year-old TikToker Sahana (@mypawfectfamily) believes in cruelty-free hair and beauty products.

To keep things holistic when tending to her mane, she created a conditioning treatment made of healthy foods.

“Best hair mask for long thick hair,” she wrote in the clip, claiming it was the “only DIY” one she’d use.

To prove how well it worked, she shook her shiny, bouncy tresses for the camera.

The best part is you only need three ingredients that you likely already have in your kitchen: oil, avocado, and an egg.

Begin by cutting the avocado in half and mashing it in a bowl.

Add an egg yolk, sans the whites, and mix it with the mashed avocado.

Next, pour in some oil – Sahana noted that she likes grape seed best – and stir it well so that it combines thoroughly.

Once it's ready to go, put your hair in a ponytail and apply a generous coating to the ends.

“I leave it for around 2 hours and then wash it off,” she advised.

Although the product works well for “all hair types,” Sahana said it’s “best for coarse hair.”

After taking her advice, however, one user warned of the potential unwanted mess it can bring: “If y’all do this, use COLD water when you rinse it out. Learn from my mistakes, you don’t want scrambled egg hair.”

Others, however, were just excited to give it a go.

“Need to try this,” one person wrote.

“Wowed,” admired another.
