A WOMAN has shared an easy to remember 'parcel rule' that makes decluttering your house a breeze.

Mayz, who goes by @justmayzthings online, shared her decluttering hack in a TikTok video online. 


She said: “A little declutter hack for you.”

In her house Mayz has a rule where all boxes recieved from anything in the post are put to good use.

She said: “Okay, I've created a new house law that whenever we receive something in the mail in a box, that we then have to fill the box with things we want to get rid of or donate.”

Mayz explains she fills up the empty box with things that are already in their home.

They can then choose to donate of bin the box full of clutter. 

Mayz decided to show viewers how she collects clutter to fill the box with. 

She said: “So let's go around my house and find things that we want to put in the box.”

Mayz starter of by adding some clothes she no longer wanted a top and a belt.

She said: “First, we have this belt that I don't wear anymore.”

She continued: “Second, the infamous shirt that every time I try on, I don't like it.”

Next Mayz decided to throw away her collection of scrunchies. 

She said: “Third, I'm over scrunchies.”

Lastly Mayz had some glass cups she wanted to get rid of and a pair of shorts that no longer fit. 

She said: “Number 4, some espresso cups that I don't use anymore. Last is a pair of shorts that don't fit me anymore.”

Mayz' decluttering hack video gained over 378,000 views. 

Viewers thought Mayz' decluttering hack was a great idea although they admitted they may struggle with the filling up packaged of a certain size.

One user said: “But hear me out: the packages hardly ever fill the box, so I shouldn’t either.”
