I was a teen mum and my son and I went through so much – now I'm spending £16,000 on his birthday party | The Sun

A MUM who spent £16,000 on her son's birthday party has insisted it wasn't always this way, as she'd started her parenting journey as a teen mum.

Summer broke down the specifics of how she managed to spend so much cash, as she admitted she also wanted to make the occasion special for the rest of her family too.

"How much me and my husband spent on our son's birthday," she began her TikTok video.

They hired a van "that was literally falling apart" for £1,350, as well as an eight-seater for £790, and petrol for both vehicles for £676 for the whole trip.

They hired out an 11-bedroom house for £4,177, and got a taco bar set up for dinner on the first night for £414.

They also got some groceries and snacks for the house for £144.
