A DAD has issued an urgent warning to other parents after their one-year-old daughter's baby monitor got hacked into.

Pops and Jay took to their TikTok page to share their shocking story, admitting they were left ready to "swing at" a potential intruder when they heard a man's voice coming from her bedroom.



"Guys, oh my God, our baby monitor got hacked this morning," Pops began.

"Woke up to someone talking to our one year old on the f**king camera like for real."

"It's like 6 o'clock in the morning and we can hear our daughter just like grizzling in bed," Jay then said.

"The next minute we just hear this man f**kin start talking to her.

"I was thinking some cop was in the in my daughter's room that looking over her, you know, and she was making out someone was in the house.

"I f**king start s**tting myself, I get up with my little tummy hanging out," he added.

"I boot the f**king door open. I'm like I'm ready to swing at this ****."

"I don't know if this has happened to anyone else though. It's really scary," Pops then said.

As Jay concluded: "Parents be careful out there because ****s are hacking into these things and watching."

"I was so shaken up after," Pops captioned the video.

"Has this ever happened to anyone?"

And the majority of people in the comments section said it can only happen if the baby monitor is connected to the WiFi.

"This is such a common issue with wifi baby monitors," one wrote.

"Get a baby monitor that doesn’t need wifi."

"Don't use a baby monitor through wifi," another insisted.

"I swapped over from my baby monitor to a security camera in my sons room for this exact reason," a third admitted.

"It's been 1 year since the swap and so far so good."

As someone else wrote: "We have the same monitor and we never witnessed it but my son came to me and said, 'No more camera, my camera talking to me'.

"We haven’t used it since."

"Yes happened to me too," another added.

"Someone was watching it when I was in the room!"

"This is why i don’t use a wifi baby monitor," someone else said.

"It’s scary af!"

As another agreed, writing: "This is the reason why I never use wifi baby monitors.

"So many horror stories. I hope your baby wasn’t too scared."
