I was quoted over £13,000 for a new kitchen so I decided to do it all myself with bargains from Ikea & saved £10.5k | The Sun

A WOMAN who was quoted £13,000 for a new kitchen decided to do it herself, and saved £10,500 in the process.

She took to TikTok to post a video of the incredible transformation on her DIY Mummy page, writing over the top: "I was quoted over £13,000 for a new kitchen.

"So I went to IKEA and bought all units, hob, extractor, oven and microwave, and did it all myself and saved THOUSANDS."

In the clip, she showed herself taking off the cupboard fronts, before ripping out the units themselves.

She replaced all the cupboard doors with matt grey ones, while painting the formerly wooden worktops white.

"Always better when you do it yourself," she added in the caption.
