AN American woman has revealed the surprising outfit that got her in trouble at her job.
The woman, who works on a farm, says she was reported for committing a dress code violation when she turned up in the outfit, which reportedly showed too much skin.
The unnamed farm worker complained about the issue on Reddit, arguing that she was unfairly targeted.
"Dress codes are sexist, misogynist, and unequally applied," she wrote. "I am very angry and dehumanized.
"I got in trouble with work today for a 'dress code violation,'" she said.
"Someone reported me for one square inch of side showing.

The Reddit user included a photo of herself in yellow overalls, the bottoms of which went down to her knees.
She wore a dark gray cropped tank top underneath, with a tiny sliver of her waist showing between the top and overalls.
She also included a second shot to show the extent of the coverage from behind.
"We have some front-facing parts of the job with vendors, etc. on certain days, so I get being reasonably covered in those instances," she said.

However, she admitted being "a little radical in my views on clothing."
"I am extremely anti-dress code and arbitrary 'professionalism.' Only when true safety comes into play," she said.
Commenters on Reddit are angry on her behalf, agreeing that making an issue of her clothing was out of line.
"I’m sorry you’re having to deal with that degree of unfairness and stupidity," wrote one.
"How ridiculous of them. I would honestly find it quite telling that they noticed a patch of skin that I suspect the majority of people wouldn't have even spotted.
"Just odd. Very sorry you had to experience that," wrote another.

Others supported that suggestion, telling her to also report men's exposed butt cracks.
