TAKING a picture of your haircut inspiration is pretty standard when you go for a new 'do.

But bringing along a snap doesn't ensure you're going to get exactly what you want – as one man discovered the hard way.

Jamie took to TikTok to share a video revealing the picture he'd taken – of a man with longer hair on the top and shaved sides.

The video then flashed to what Jamie was left with – an uneven mop of slightly longer curtains which got shorter and shorter towards the back of the head.

The sides of his head were shaved, but the cut appeared to have been so badly done that the hair towards the top of his head was much longer than the strands lower down.

"Foul play," Jamie captioned his video, which has been watched over 506,000 times since he posted it.
