I work in Primark – six things customers do that I hate… if you return things inside-out you’re top of the list | The Sun

A PRIMARK employee has revealed the really disrespectful things that customers do.

Kiera, who points out that she has more good interactions over bad interactions, went on to share her top pet peeves at working in popular high-street chain, Primark.

And if you've got a habit of leaving your returned items inside out, then you may just want to think again…

In a clip shared to TikTok (@kiera_edwards2204), the uni student begins by explaining that the most common one she gets is when she's working on the fitting rooms.

"A customer will just return the items to me inside out off the hanger,
to the point it's impossible to count them," she says.

"So it makes life really difficult."

Kiera adds: "Also, extra points when you don't even
acknowledge that I'm there and just dump them on the counter right next to me and walk off, not even saying anything to me.

"Because is it seriously that difficult just to put your items
back on the hangar before you return them to me?

"Or are you just stuck in your ways to the point, 'that's her job – she's meant to clean up after me!' Sweetie. No, no!"

Next up, Kiera notes that another frustrating moment is when customers have wanted her to help them in the past.

"Instead of saying 'excuse me or hello' or anything, they'll either click at me, hit me with an item, or just talk to me like I'm just there for their convenience," she explains.

The Primark employee goes on to point out that one of the ones that really does "take the p***" is when customers get annoyed at her
for refusing to try items on for them.

"They claim I'm either their wife's body type or their daughter's body type," she says.

"No, that's creepy.

"And to be fair, sometimes they don't even ask.

"They just come up to me with a sweatshirt and will just hold it against my body like, b***."

Kiera explains how it also "really bugs" her when a customer accidentally smashes something in the home section but fails to notify a member of staff that there's glass all over the floor.

"That's a huge health and safety issue," she says.

"Just tell me. I'm not mad, I don't care!"

Not stopping there, the Primark employee explains that she also finds it rude when another customer comes up to her while she's talking to someone else and interrupts to ask her where something is.

"I'm talking to someone else right now…have a bit of patience," she says.

And last but not least, Kiera also hates it when customers don't believer her when she tells them she isn't able to do something because it's against the store's policy.

"They don't believe me," she says.
