Within the first ten seconds of the video, Harris states the most important tip in wedding planning is to use what you have.

"We got a church. Let's clear it out. Let's put everything we bought up in there," says Harris.

Harris proceeds to list all of the stores she bought products from, including Walmart, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, and Party City.

"Sixty dollar arch from Party City. Let's decorate it, baby, how you want it. Hobby Lobby…anything ya'll got, we want it. Dollar Tree…all the flowers you got, we want it," Harris exclaims.

Harris also makes a point to mention that you don't have to break the bank to find the perfect wedding dress.

"That dress…we gonna go to every dress shop we find until we find the dress that is perfect for you and it ain't gonna spend all your money," she adds.

Towards the end of the video, Harris reiterates in capitalized subtitles to "USE WHAT YOU HAVE!" before delving into additional ways to cut costs on a wedding.

For Harris, utilizing community is one of the most important aspects of putting together the nuptials of a loved one.

If there are any friends who can work well with a camera, then Harris suggests having them take the wedding photos.

For anyone who loves planning events, she also suggests having that friend plan the wedding. If there are two friends who love party planning, why not have them both join in on the fun together.

In addition,as a way to also save a few bucks, Harris emphasizes the value of having a friend or family member bake the wedding cake.

The comment section of the TikTok video flooded with support for the wedding celebration.

"People thought I was crazy when I said I was getting married with no more than 1000 dollars!! I knew it's possible, " one viewer commented.

"Boosting bc I love this & everybody needs to see this!!" exclaimed another.

"That's smart and beautiful. It doesn't cost all that much to have. A beautiful wedding," one viewer added.

One viewer even comically reached out for advice.

"Please help me cuz these prices are telling me to run to the court house ASAP," they insisted.
