ARE you having a difficult time decluttering the different rooms around your home?

If so, you’re not alone and there are five simple tips to consider that will make a difference.

Cleaning expert in TikToker Madison posted a video breaking down five of her favorite decluttering tips and tricks.

REVERSE YOUR HANGERS

Her first tip is to decide which clothes you should keep or donate based on their hangers.

She suggests turning all your hangers in the opposite direction so you can keep track of which clothes are being worn and which clothes are being neglected.

Any of the clothes on hangers that are still turned in the opposite direction after four months have passed can be tossed out or given away.

EMPTY YOUR JUNK DRAWER

Madison’s next tip is to sort through the items in your junk drawer.

Her suggestion is to throw out at least five things you no longer care for.

30-DAY DECLUTTERING CHALLENGE

The next tip on Madison's list takes place across the span of at least one month.

She says: “Try to declutter one item every day for 30 days.

“These should be things you haven’t used, but are still holding onto for no reason.”

SORT YOUR PANTRY

After that, Madison stresses the importance of clearing out your pantry.

She says to sort through the food and throw anything that hasn’t been touched in the last month.

This particular tip will protect you from eating expired foods down the line.

MANAGE YOUR KITCHEN UTENSILS

Finally, Madison talks about managing your kitchen utensils.

“Go through all your kitchen utensils, and only keep the ones you actually use," she says.

She zooms in on a drawer of spoons and spatulas as she decides what’s worth keeping.

Several people have responded in Madison's comment section about her helpful organizational tips.
