I’m a female welder and ‘blue collar babe’ – my clothes get covered in dirt but some men doubt I really work | The Sun

HER name is Winter but there is nothing cool about this red-headed welder, who has shut down the doubters in her latest TikTok post.

Just a smidgen of her 262,000 followers doubt her work ethic, but that’s enough to rile her.

Winter (@winterrenee) has had to face critics who have accused her of not being the genuine article.

These doubters consider her dirty work clothes to be a sure sign of an interloper

It may be a ridiculous notion, but she just has to deal with it.

She is forced to point out that a welder works in dust, soot, and oily grime, and some of that inevitably gets passed onto workwear.

Nonetheless, there are still some with stone-age views who see this as a sign that her blue-collar career is all made up.

“It can be tough,” she said, “but I just keep my head down and improve myself and they shut up quickly.”

In her latest post, she did her own take on workplace transformation and it is pretty impressive.

“So I did the trend but did the blue-collar edition,” said Winter, who looked fresh-faced, her Titian hair tumbling down, tattoos on display, and wearing a cherry red bikini top.
