WHEN it comes to choosing a new hairstyle, there are a whole host of different factors to consider – from your face shape to maintenance.
But according to a hair whizz known only as Camel Glow online, there's a specific style everyone should avoid if they've got thin hair.
The beauty fan took to TikTok (@camelglow) and posted a video showing the "worst hair cut for thin hair."
In the clip, she posts a snap of a long-haired brunette client who has short layers cut in.
"This hair cut has very short layers, so the very first one is up here, and the very bottom one is down here," she says, pointing them out in the photo.
"So you're cutting off this whole layer of hair.

"And when you have thin hair, you want to keep as much hair on your head as possible."
She then shows a photo of a woman who has a super stylish haircut with long layers instead.

"The first one is over here and the very bottom one is down here," she explains, again pointing them out.
"So we're not compromising and cutting off as much hair."

She continues: "Another great thing to get if you have thin hair is face-framing layers.
"They really look very beautiful and they don't require for a lot of hair to be cut off."
It wasn't long before the video garnered a whopping 265k views and several comments from social media users.
"I soooo regret the butterfly cut I’ve been getting for years," wrote one.
" My husband just confirmed my fears that I was having about it."
A second penned: "Finally, someone said that thank you!"
A third commented: "I DID IT AND REGRET!!!"
Meanwhile, a fourth chimed in: "Yep. Did that first hairstyle and def regret it."
