Strictlys Eddie Kadi says hell accept judges feedback through gritted teeth

Strictly: Eddie Kadi shares how he’ll view judges’ feedback

Comedian Eddie Kadi has revealed that he will grudgingly accept the judges criticism when the new series of Strictly Come Dancing kicks off on September 16.

“I see them [the judges] as my maintenance engineer… they’re my plumbers,” he said.

“So for me, every criticism is just feedback. You know, I’ll keep smiling, but deep inside… (through gritted teeth) THANK YOU, I appreciate it, that’s enough now Shirley!” he said.

The 40-year-old also revealed that Strictly is the “scariest thing” he’s ever signed up for.

“Because I love dancing, right? And as a Congolese, as I’ve said it many times, like, we dance (at) every opportunity we get.

“But you then you realise you’re not really dancing, you just wiggling your bum,” he told Fleur East and James Barr on Hits Radio Breakfast.

“It’s the scariest because you see the levels [of ability] and you also have this massive communicate.

“We know you can dance Ed! We know you can, you know, go and represent us.

“I’m saying guys, this it’s not afrobeat dancing, it’s not African dancing!” he said.

Eddie, who was the fifth contestant announced this year, is well-known as the host of The Official UK Afrobeats Chart Show on BBC Radio 1 Xtra.

He has also hosted a number of events including the red carpet show for BET International and BET Africa in Los Angeles, as well as being main stage host for the Afro Nation Festivals across the world.
