I’m a money-saving mum – how to make £10k spotting empty houses in your area | The Sun

IF you want to make thousands simply by walking around your neighbourhood, you may be in luck.

A money-saving mum has revealed how you could earn £10,000 by spotting empty houses.

Mum-of-four Holly Smith, who runs Coupon Queen, told Fabulous: “If you are walking about and see an empty house that hasn’t been lived in for a while, did you know there is a website called YouSpotProperty?

“What you do is submit the address of the empty property, and they will give you a £20 M&S or Amazon voucher just for spotting that property.

“But then it gets even better.

“What they do is liaise with the owner of that property to try to buy and if they manage to buy it, you get one per cent of the property value.”

Holly revealed how she had said the tip on This Morning to hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, and had told the story of a man called Paul Wood who got a check for £10,000 after spotting a house worth £1million.

After saying her tip on TV, Holly said people have got in touch and told her they have earned money too.

She continued: “Someone watched me mentioning it on This Morning and was like ‘oo there’s a property at the end of the road, I’m going to go on YouSpotProperty to get my voucher.’

“YouSpotProperty went on to buy that property and they got a check for £5,000 just based on what I said on This Morning.”
