I'm a mum-of-six – five things I do to make my life easier & why I don't let my kids use bath towels | The Sun

ANY parent will know that having one child to look after can come with its fair share of challenges.

So spare a thought for Sharon, known on TikTok as @sharon.a.life, who has six children to keep in check.

In her latest video shared to social media, she can be seen offering her top tips and tricks that help to make her life a "little bit easier" at home – and they've gone down a storm online.

First up, she says her kids don't use bath towels.

"They each have their own terry cloth robe with hood and the colour of their own choosing," Sharon explains.

"Not only does this cut down on laundry, but it also cuts down on people not being able to find a towel."

NO KIDDING

My daughter is a teen mum and I refuse to help her with childcare on weekends

"I have two days a week where I don't have to deal with questions like, 'Can I go here? Can I go there? Where are you going? Where is he going?

"One's a family day and one is just a hangout and chill day."

Sharon goes on to say that her fourth tip is storing Lego and puzzles underneath the sofa in her main living room.

"Why? Because I'm in this room several times a day and I can see when Lego and puzzles are left out," she says.

"If I were to have these in the playroom they'd be scattered every which way all of the time.

"This keeps the situation in check."

Moving onto number five, Sharon continues: "Probably most crucial to everyone's sanity in the household is that every Tuesday, I leave the house for a self-care date night.

"I'm not in charge of dinner and I do not come home until after bed time!"

She captioned the post: "It’s still pretty chaotic here but these small things help make it a little less chaotic."

The video has since gone viral, racking up over 409, 000 views and hundreds of comments from other parents.

"The 'no friends' days are genius," wrote one.

A second penned: "I’ve got 4 kids. I assign one colour towel to each kid. I always know whose is whose.

"I do the same with their cups. Life changing!!!"

A third commented: "The swimsuits all together has been life changing!"

Meanwhile, a fourth noted: "I’ve done the swimsuit thing for years. Best thing ever.
