A NAIL technician has revealed that there are six things that many people do when at a nail appointment, that drive artists crazy.
Beauty whizz Codie, who posts on TikTok under the username @nailsbycodie, has amassed an impressive 55.3k followers and 1.2million likes on the video sharing platform, where she regularly opens up about being a nail technician.
The nail educator and artist has been qualified for eight years now and recently took to the social media app to reveal the things that wind her up as a nail professional.
She shared her video with the caption ‘What not to do at your nail appointment 😬’
The first thing that annoys Codie is when clients move their fingers to “help your nail tech.”
However, according to Codie: “This does not help, this makes it harder.”

The second thing that drives Codie mad is when clients “keep pulling their hands back.”
A third thing that nail technicians can’t stand is when clients “eat or touch things in between.”
The nail whizz confirmed: “Once the nails are primed, nothing should touch them. This will cause lifting.”
Not only this, but Codie went on to reveal that mums that bring their children with them to nail appointments can often cause trouble for nail technicians.

The next thing that Codie listed, is one that many of us probably do, but it’s something that is very frustrating for nail technicians.
Codie explained that she finds it very irritating when people “keep changing their mind on colours.”
And finally, another thing that you should never do at a nail appointment if you want to keep the artist happy, is “tense your hand.”
The nail whizz claimed: “A relaxed hand is always better for us nail techs.”
Codie’s video has clearly shocked many, as it has quickly racked up 53k views.
It has 4,432 likes, 25 comments and 69 shares.
One person said: “I try so hard not to tense and always do anyway. It's so embarrassing.”
