THERE'S nothing like first date jitters and worrying if the night will be a success.

From conversations running dry to your date being a good six inches shorter than they claimed on their Tinder profile, there are a number of things that can go wrong.

But one possibility you should never have to consider is the person not turning up and completely ghosting you without a good reason.

A single mum revealed last week that she was left in tears in Spoons after her date was a no-show.

Posting on social media, she said: "I just feel absolutely heartbroken.

"I arranged a date with a guy I've been talking to for weeks, my first date in three years.

"I got a babysitter for my two children and got myself all dolled up, feeling pretty for the first time in ages.

"Supposed to be meeting at Wetherspoons and I've been sat here for an hour waiting for him and he hasn't turned up and has now blocked my number.

"I actually could just cry right now."

After confirming the man didn't turn up at all, the singleton was inundated with messages of support from other women.

One said: "That's such a shame! Why let you go to all that effort and be rude.

"Try to look at the positive, you didn't waste your time with someone who is this ignorant.

"I'm sure you look beautiful and please don't think you're the problem, this is a reflection of him."

Another wrote: "What an actual scumbag, bet you it took a lot of courage for you to come out tonight too.

"For what it's worth, it really is his loss.

"I hope your confidence isn't to affected because it says more about him than you. You've probably dodged a bullet girl."

Meanwhile, a third added: "Don't give up on dating. Never let a selfish p**** like that make you cry.

"You're worth more, it's his loss. Don't feel upset or sad, keep dating. You will find someone that will deserve you."
