I’m a size 16 and tried the viral £12 TikTok bodysuit, it’s every bit worth as they say, I look snatched | The Sun

A SIZE UK 16 woman has tested out a shapewear bodysuit that has gone viral in a bid to suss out whether it’s worth the hype.

With TikTok being one of the leading social media platforms to set trends, it’s no wonder that people have started talking about fashion items that make them look “snatched” – from Kim Kardashian's Skims products to dupes that create the same impact.

But one influencer has taken it upon herself to try a new shapewear design that’s got everyone talking in a bid to figure out whether it really is as good as advertised.

“Today we’re trying the viral TikTok bodysuit on a size 16 UK body. I already have this in black and I love it so I want to see if the brown compares,” Maisie Crompton, (@maisie_crompton), shared in her informative clip.

Dressed in a tight-fitting black long-sleeved top, she then turned to the side for viewers to get a better idea of what her figure looks like naturally.

She explained: “This is what I look like without shapewear on. I have a slight overhang, I always have this because I’m not a skinny girl.

“This is just what I look like, let’s see how much of a difference this shapewear makes.”

With the same pair of black jeans on, Maisie was then seen with the brown bodysuit on, which changed the shape of her figure instantly.

“I feel snatched in this,” she told viewers, adding: “Like I literally feel like it’s compressing everything and I’ve got a bit of a waist – that never happens.”

Maisie continued: “Anyway, this is what it looks like from the side. As you can see it just makes my stomach feel a bit more flattering, just feels really supportive.”

While she appeared happy with it overall, she did share one piece of criticism as she said: “Not gonna lie, it is a tad bit see through on the top part, so you probably would wanna wear nipple covers or I would probably just wear a bra.

“I’m going to try on the top that I had on before so you guys can see the difference.”

Returning with the same black top over the shapewear, she added: “I feel amazing with this on. I feel like it’s really made a difference to my whole stomach area, it’s hoisted my boobs…”

Following her honest review, she took a moment to remind people: “You don’t need shapewear to look beautiful. I just like it because it makes me feel more confident.”

In the caption, meanwhile, she added: “This makes me feel so confident on my midsize body 4 months postpartum”.

Finding her review helpful, one person commented: “you’re  the first person who seems genuine talking about it, so I’ve finally placed my first order on Tiktok shop”.

Another simply said they were “INFLUENCED,” as a third posted: “Just ordered one, you look amazing!”

While a fourth praised her by saying: “i think you are so beautiful, it’s so admirable that you’ve decided to share what viral clothing looks like on diff body types,” alongside a red heart emoji.
