Roast potatoes are a Sunday staple and loved by foodies across the UK.
But they’re difficult to master and always end up taking longer to cook than you might think.
Luckily, an air fryer is a very helpful gadget in speeding up the process as they’re great at getting food crispy.
Taking things a step further, TikTok user @megzhurstx decided to try out a method that will save you cash.
Instead of using potatoes you’d normally buy in a bag, she tried out peeled potatoes in water.

They can be bought from all major supermarkets for around 60p, but Meg gave the Tesco version a go.
She tried the hack she’d seen demonstrated in another video which used the same ingredient.
Meg firstly drained the water out of the tin before adding the potatoes into the base of her air fryer.
Adding a couple of flavourings to the mix, she put garlic granules and salt in there too.

Then she got them cooking away in her air fryer for 40 minutes at 180 degrees.
She uses a Ninja Foodie air fryer, but there are plenty of cheaper options on the market.
Meg showed off the results and was super pleased to see they’d gone pretty crispy.
“They came out great, 10/10 would recommend,” she wrote on top of the clip.
Viewers were loving the hack and vowed to try it out for themselves.
