SOME people may be aware of the not-so-secret menu at In-N-Out that includes six amazing items.

The beloved fast-food chain has published a guide to ordering off-menu items, including a massive burger with four patties.

On the In-N-Out website, you can find explanations for some of the most popular sandwich variations.

"Ok, you've heard the rumors, wondered what was on it, maybe even felt a little left out of the loop," the website reads.

"But in reality, we don't have any secrets at all.

According to the famous fast-food chain, any lingo you may hear surrounding their orders is just slang for how they like their burgers prepared.

One of these popular variations is the 4X4.

The 4X4 or Quad Quad has "four 100 percent American beef patties, hand-leafed lettuce, tomato, spread, four slices of American cheese, with or without onions," all on a freshly baked bun.

If that's a bit much, you can always go one patty less and order the 3X3 or Triple Triple.

And of course, if you order "double meat" then you can get two burger patties instead of just one.

Not feeling meet? You can get all the fixings with no patty in a grilled cheese.

This comes with two slices of American and with or without onions.

For all the keto acolytes, there's a lettuce wrap option that won't make you stressed about carbs.

Just say you want your burger Protein Style, and you can still abide by the trendiest of diets.

And finally, arguably the most popular In-N-Out term is Animal Style.

This is a mustard-cooked beef patty with pickles, grilled onions, extra spread, and all the other regular fixings.

This comes as we revealed the symbol behind the palm trees outside In-N-Out restaurants.

The fast-food chain is known for its iconic palm trees planted around the perimeter of the restaurant.

But what most customers don’t know is there's a secret design hidden in the trees.

Eagle-eyed patrons might notice that two palm trees at any In-N-Out look slightly crooked, with the trunks crisscrossing each other in the shape of an “X.”

What most people might not know is that the “X” is intentional and it pays homage to one of the founder’s favorite movies.

“The founder of In-N-Out Burger, Harry Snyder, wanted to choose a symbol that would set In-N-Out apart from other restaurants,” said Kathleen Luppi, the communications specialist for the restaurant.

“He decided on an idea he picked up from the movie It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World from the early 1960s.”

The 1963 film tells the story of a group of motorists racing to a state park in California, where a secret stash of cash is believed to be hidden underneath a “big W.”

At the end of the movie, the group comes to the park and finds palm trees in the shape of a “W”, where the treasure lays.

Harry Snyder reportedly loved the movie so much that it inspired him to have palm trees planted outside his restaurants in 1972 – however, he opted for an “X” instead.

According to the official history of In-N-Out, the decision was so that Snyder could mark the spot of his own symbolic “treasure.”

“Because each In-N-Out store is Harry’s treasure, a tradition of planting cross palm trees in front of most In-N-Out locations begins,” reads the website.

Not every restaurant features the crisscrossing trees, as evidenced by the wording in the official history. However, it’s still a fun fact that makes for great conversation.
