A WOMAN has shared the genius way she makes her Scrub Daddy last longer, and turns it into a more effective cleaner too.

Cleaning specialist Cindy, aka the CleanSnob, explained that the regular sponges are too fat for her liking.

So she cuts them vertically to make two, thinner, sponges, which she finds much better suited to her needs.

"Scrub Daddy's not going to like me telling you this!" she said in her Instagram Reel.

"I always slice my Scrub Daddies in half.

"Why? Because the normal Scrub Daddy is way too fat.

People were quick to comment on the video, with many thanking Cindy for her clever tip.

"I… Never thought about it? Damn, thanks a lot!" one wrote.

"Going to cut in two right now. THANKS," another added.

Others praised Cindy for her "so smart" and "genius" idea, as some revealed they also cut the beloved sponge up.

"Wow I do this too!" someone else said.

"I also cut down the dish wand one.

"It's weird they don't make different sizes."

"I do that I have small hands so there are too big for me so I cut the in half and I love it," another commented.

"I cut my normal sponges in half too hahah," a third wrote.

"I guess it's the scrub dad body," someone else joked.

As another laughed: "Fat shaming the f**king scrub daddy!"

But someone else insisted the perfect width of the sponge depends on what you're cleaning.

"As it's made, it's way easier to grip and keep hold of when scrubbing broad, large areas like a shower or bathtub or counter or sink," they wrote.

"I love how thick the Scrub Daddy is for these purposes.
