McDonald's fans are going wild after realising you get extra food on a favourite and it only costs 20p | The Sun

WE’VE all had it when you delve into your McFlurry, only to find a sprinkling of your favourite chocolate topping. 

So fans went wild when a content creator revealed that you can get extra toppings – and it’ll only set you back 20p. 


McDonald’s visitors can ask the server for extra sauce, or another serving of Oreo cookies, Cadbury Twirl, Malteasers, or Smarties.  

There are reports that fans can even mix and match the toppings, though it’s unclear just how many extra it’s possible to order. 

@wasimz shared the video on TikTok, writing: “When you get a McFlurry and ask for extra toppings.”

In the nine-second clip, the content creator shows their McFlurry filled with extra Flake chocolate pieces.

Fans loved the reveal, with the video gaining more than 62,000 likes and over 1.6 million views. 

In the comments, one follower wrote: “Bro got toppings with a side of ice cream.” 

Another said: “When it changed from filling to topping.” 

The McDonald’s superfan replied: “Energy crisis got McDonald#s only serving toppings.”

And one former staff member shared her own hack, writing: “When I worked in McDonald's, I’d put toppings at the bottom before ice cream and on top so they’d get a surprise mixing it together.” 

On the Mcdonald's app, there is no option to add extra toppings – only to remove the chocolate pieces.

Instead, diners are recommended to order at the counter with a member of staff, who can complete the request for you. 

However, the fast food chain has stated that the extra toppings are only available in certain stores, depending on whether the franchise is happy to offer it.
