Queen Letizia and King Felipe of Spain travelled to Germany to highlight and strengthen the ties and bilateral relations between both countries. Their official programme includes a visit to Frankfurt for the opening of the Book Fair, in which Spain is the guest country.
On her second day in Germany, Queen Letizia looked very elegant in a stylish fuchsia ensemble.
The outfit looked like a jumpsuit but it was actually a combination of a blouse and matching tailored trousers from BOSS.
The Banora Blouse, “an elegant blouse created in crepe de Chine made from lustrous silk blended with stretch for softness, comfort and opacity”, retails for £239.
The top was designed in a “collarless style with ruching at the neckline, featuring a concealed placket through the centre front and full-length sleeves with buttoned cuffs”.

BOSS recommended wearing this blouse “to add a feminine touch to a business ensemble”. Queen Letizia combined it with matching trousers, making it look like a jumpsuit. The Tiluna Trousers in fuchsia, also from BOSS, have a price tag of £199.
According to the designer, the outfit may be more feminine than other looks because of the colour hue and the flattering ruching detail around the neckline.
Many praised Queen Letizia for wearing a “German brand” during the official visit to the country with social media user @juliapickl saying: “Very nice gesture that she wears a German brand.”
The Spanish Queen added a black belt, also from BOSS, and finished her look with a pair of black suede pumps from Isabel Abdo Shoes.
Royal fans took to social media to comment on the monarch’s look with @ellainthecityboston saying: “Love this look and colour on Letizia.”
Social media user @schumphrey commented: “I can count on my hand the times she’s not looked amazing. She knows what looks good on her body type.”
Another one, @rmsgreeneyedlady, said: “Love the head-to-toe fuchsia, she wears it so well” and @2414_betty added: “Stunning colour!”
The look reminded fans of the ensemble Meghan Markle chose for The One Young World Summit 2022 in Manchester last month.
For the opening ceremony of the event, Meghan donned a pink blouse and matching trousers from Another Tomorrow, and it also seemed like the Duchess was wearing a jumpsuit.
She wore her hair in a ponytail and sported a pair of Aquazurra heels and simple gold jewellery.
But why do royals wear the same colour head-to-toe?
Writer Elizabeth Holmes shared why the Duchess of Sussex always wears bright colours, a theory she calls “slideshow dressing”. She explained: “Meghan is building her brand, and crafting a signature style, very deliberately.
“It began shortly after the wedding, when Meghan wore a string of blush dresses that were all variations on one another. Then she moved to boat-neck styles, very reminiscent of her Givenchy wedding dress, but in a range of colours. On the royal tour, she favoured solid-colour dresses with crew necks, nipped waists and full skirts.
“The result is often a slideshow — literally! — compiled by the websites and fan accounts that follow royal style. It makes it very easy, and visually appealing, for editors to draw comparisons and make collages of past looks. And for the public to get a sense of her personal style.”
The main reason for wearing the same colour, however, is so royals stand out and can be spotted in the crowd. According to Sali Hughes, the author of Our Rainbow Queen, Her Majesty believed “it was her duty to be seen by the people who’ve waited, wet and cold, behind barriers for hours at a time”.
The author said at the time: “She balances those [style] choices with an innate sense of duty – the bright colour blocking is purely so that members of the public, who’ve waited patiently to see her, know exactly who and where she is, however far back in the crowd.”
The Queen reportedly once said: “If I wore beige, nobody would know who I am.”
