Prince Harry wants to be ‘trusted’ like Diana, according to new book
Prince Harry does not want to be regarded as like his father Prince Charles or brother William, but would rather be "trusted like Princess Diana," according to a new book written by the princess' former bodyguard.
Ken Wharfe was Diana's police protection officer from 1987 to 1993.
Newsweek reports that Wharfe has published his thoughts on Harry's exit from the monarchy in a new book commemorating the 25th anniversary of Diana's death titled Diana: Remembering the Princess.
"Harry doesn't want to be seen as the same sort of man as his brother and father. Instead, he wants to be trusted as Diana was," he wrote. "He isn't coming back yet but it did leave the door open, and he isn't ruling anything out."

Meghan’s ‘comforting’ hand gesture towards Harry provides glimpse into their marriage
Meghan Markle's "comforting" hand gesture towards Prince Harry provides a glimpse into their marriage, a body language expert suggests.
Body language expert Darren Stanton told The Mirror: "In the early days of Meghan Markle joining the Royal Family, there was a lot of speculation in terms of how she was going to convey herself and fit into life as a senior royal.
"Right from the outset, Meghan was a very strong and confident person.
"Perhaps, this was due to her tenacious nature and the motivation she has had to have become a star in her own right in the world of acting – a career that takes a lot of determination and passion, traits she has shown to have intrinsically.
"It’s clear from Meghan’s body language that she loves Harry very much.
"She very much plays the role of his biggest supporter in their relationship, with Meghan on hand to boost Harry’s confidence in situations where he isn’t feeling as self-assured.
"Over the years we’ve seen many tell-tale gestures of Meghan helping Harry to feel at ease, like her touching his elbow when they’re out at engagements or holding his hand or arm to give reassurance.
"Another way Meghan shows Harry she is on hand to support him is by subtly placing her hand on his back – both a protective and comforting gesture.
"There’s no denying that Harry sees Meghan as his rock and while she was previously used to being the centre of attention, she is more than content letting Harry take centre stage."

Prince Harry angered ex-police chief because of 'insulting' new lawsuit
An ex-police officer has attacked Prince Harry's lawsuit against the Metropolitan Police and the Home Office.
Since losing publicly funded police protection after stepping down from his royal duties in 2020, Harry has wanted to pay for private police protection every time he visits the UK to keep his family safe.
Express.co.uk reports that on Thursday, Harry issued another High Court claim against the Home Office and the Met Police after the Government refused to let him pay for his own security when visiting Britain.
Dai Davies, the former head of royalty protection at Scotland Yard, blasted the legal action as “nonsensical”.
The former chief Supt said: “For a man who allegedly wants to protect his privacy he goes about a funny way of achieving it. I believe this is personal.
“Rather than seek a workable solution, he has taken this route which is fraught with issues. It’s insulting.”

Will Kate be Queen one day?
As the royals climb the ranks, their titles may change – and this can all get a little bit confusing.
Someday, the Queen’s monumental reign will end.
Prince Charles is the heir apparent, and will become King when the Queen dies.
Prince William will then become heir to the throne.
Kate’s current royal title is the Duchess of Cambridge – but one day that will change to Queen Consort, once Prince William becomes King.
Once this happens it’s not only their titles that will change.
It’s no surprise that once Kate becomes Queen Consort, she will be required to reside in Buckingham Palace – which is the official residence of the ruling monarch.
As well as changing her residence, the new Queen Consort will also be expected to take on more royal duties – she is currently the patron of over 20 organisations.
And that list is only expected to get longer.

Samantha Markle claims her case against Meghan is ‘viable’
Samantha Markle’s lawyers have doubled down, claiming they have “actual proof of the falsity” of Meghan’s statements.
This comes as the brutal deformation lawsuit continues between the sisters.
Jamie Sasson, of the Ticktin Law Group, had this to say to Newsweek: “This is a viable claim because we have actual proof of the falsity of these statements and that Meghan Markle made these statements.
“In Oprah they were directly made and in Finding Freedom it was instructed to put these things into the book by Mrs Markle (Meghan) through the email. If we didn’t have the email it would be a different story.”
He went on to say: ‘The part that is missed in this whole thing is they’re acting as if there was no harm that came from these statements that were made” .

The Queen and Kate's relationship: 'Do rather than say'
It is thought the Queen showed her support to the Duchess of Cambridge in this special way.
Experts think it is unlikely that The Queen would have outright given Kate lessons, but instead led by example.
A historian opened up about their relationship, speaking to People magazine.
Sarah Gristwood, royal author, said: "The Queen has always preferred to do rather than to say.
"With her audiences, with her prime ministers, if there has been actual advice. it would be discreet: 'I think that went rather well,' rather than actual instruction."

Meghan Markle defends telling Oprah she was an only child because she ‘felt like one’
Meghan Markle has defended telling Oprah Winfrey she was an only child – insisting the comments only reflected how she felt growing up.
The Duchess of Sussex suggested to Oprah she grew up an only child, telling the chat show queen in her bombshell interview last year: "I would have loved to have had siblings".
The comment is one of the reasons her half sister Samantha Markle – who shares Meghan's dad Thomas Markle – is suing her for defamation, accusing the duchess of concocting a “false narrative and fairy-tale life story”.
But Meg's lawyers say the account was not meant to be “objective fact" as it was "a textbook example of a subjective statement about how a person feels about her childhood,” The Telegraph reports.
