Hollywood’s finest wore some of the world’s most incredible and rare jewellery on the Met Gala 2023 red carpet last night, but which was worth the most?

Rihanna, Dua Lipa and Anne Hathaway, among other stars, vied to wear the most lavish jewellery of the evening at the Met Gala last night.

Fine jewellery experts at Steven Stone detailed everything you need to know about these precious gems.

Rihanna wore the most valuable jewellery of the night. The Met Gala regular wore $25 million worth of Cartier jewels.

“Rihanna is always an icon when it comes to fashion and after she wore $3.2 million worth of jewels during her Superbowl performance earlier this year, the expectations from her during the Met Gala were high,” Mr. Stone said.

But Rihanna wasn’t the only celeb to make a splash with their gems. Mr. Stone explained: “Though Rihanna boasted the most expensive jewellery of the evening, it was Dua Lipa who made history, with a necklace that features a ‘Legendary’ Tiffany diamond.

“The Met Gala marked the 100ct white diamond’s first outing on the red carpet, making the singer the first star to wear the impressive piece that’s reportedly worth over $10 million.”

Dupa Lipa’s Met Gala diamond has been dubbed the “Legendary” diamond for a reason. It is a white D-coloured diamond from Botswana, and the brand said it “pays homage to the shape of the iconic yellow Tiffany diamond via its near-identical cushion cut”.

It was set on Tiffany & Co’s Lucida Star necklace for the occasion.

Pryianka Chopra Hones wore a blue diamond worth tens of millions with her Valentino gown. The actress, who is married to Nick Jonas, wore the Bulgari Laguna Blu diamond, estimated to be worth over $25 million.

The gem is set to be auctioned later this month when it will be the most valuable Bulgari jewel to ever be offered for sale.

Princess Diaries star Anne Hathaway also wore an incredibly pricey necklace. The custom-made Bulgari diamond and yellow gold necklace is estimated to be worth around $350,000.

Fine jewellery expert, Zack Stone, commented: “Anne Hathaway turned to Bulgari for a custom-made necklace to complete her Met Gala 2023 look.
