A MONEY-SAVING mum has shared her absolute bargain of a deal after bagging heaps of Greggs goodies for less than £3.

Known for their signature sausage rolls – with the vegan version being a hit – and filling pastries, Greggs has become somewhat of a British classic.

But now savvy shoppers have discovered an easy hack which lets you go home with bags full of their mouth-watering sandwiches without forking out a fortune.

This game-changing discovery was shared by mum Lauren Ashley Totten who took to Facebook to reveal the trick.

According to the bargain fan, it's all because of an app that not only will save you heaps of cash but will also help to tackle food waste.

''Too good to go app Gregg's £2.95,'' Ashley claimed in the post.

Sharing her monster haul, the foodie revealed she had managed to bag piles of delicious goodies – four hearty sandwiches and five other items, one of which was a sausage roll.

Fellow members of the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Group were more than impressed and dozens flocked to comments.

''My local Greggs don’t do it unfortunately but I did get a Millie’s cookies one for £4 got 16 cookies,'' a food fan revealed.

Someone else added: ''I had my first Greggs one last night.

The app is free for households but businesses have to pay for a service that will take unsold food and distribute it to them.

Almost 10 million portions of food have been shared through the app, which has 2.6 million users worldwide.

Karma

Similar to Too Good To Go, Karma lets hungry households rescue unsold meals from businesses at a discount.
