"Depending on how long you have to cook and the method you use, the patties and hash browns can also be grilled/fried!

"I added an egg to a buttered mould, covered it with clingfilm and microwave for one minute!

"Be careful with the egg as it can spit and pop.

"Then I just toasted the muffin and added butter before assembling the patty, cheese and egg.

"The family absolutely adore them.

"Everyone agrees they are far better than McDonalds, the hash browns are less greasy.

"They often ask for seconds!

"I would say always buy double products though.

"Trust me, the family will scoff them down.

"They are also so easy to make, which means the older kids often enjoy cooking these for the family."

As well as saving money on fakeaways, Jamie has some alternative hacks that may help with the food shop budget.

She added: "My biggest budgeting tip, is ALWAYS check Aldi or Lidl before any other supermarket.

"They do copies of most labelled brands and I was wary at first to try but they have lived up to all expectations.

"Find out what time of day your supermarket reduce some of their items that need selling that day and freeze whatever you buy, but only buy what you know you will use!

"I also buy frozen veg, onions, garlic, chilli, ginger and herbs, this has saved me so much money compared to buying fresh.
